Swinside Lodge Hotel is a small luxury hotel with seven rooms, personally run by owners Mike and Kath Bilton. Set in the heart of the beautiful English Lake District at the foot of the mountains and yet within easy access to Keswick, the hotel is a haven of peace and tranquillity. Wildlife, including red squirrels, can be seen in the gardens. Four course dinner is served each evening, complemented by an extensive wine list, earning the hotel a prestigious two AA Rosettes. Other recent awards are Lakeland hotel of the Year: Good Hotel Guide, and Small Hotel of the Year: Cumbria Tourism. All rooms are ensuite, individually designed and maintained to a high standard. Swinside Lodge is ideal for walkers, with many breathtaking walks starting from the door. Other activities in the area range from Lake cruises, historic houses and castles, beautiful gardens and quaint villages and craft shops.

Guided fishing trips for Pike and Perch afloat in one of our excellent boats. Qualified professional fly casting tuition for trout and salmon. Beginners and experts equally welcome, groups, families and individuals for full and half day sessions. All tackle, bait and equipment provided where required.

Guided by well known angler and conservationist Eric Hope Hemmingways has been providing some great fishing days out since 1993. With appearances on several TV programmes Eric is well known and respected in the angling world and can assure you of a geat day out in stunning surroundings. And we do catch and mostly return a lot of fish!!

Centrally located in the heart of the popular market town of Keswick, Sweeneys offers an ideal base from which to explore the spectacular Northern Lakes. Situated on a quiet street around the corner from the main market square, we present a bar lounge and restaurant decorated in a contemporary style whilst retaining traditional Lakeland character. Sweeneys offers four bedrooms comprising two double and two twin family rooms, sleeping up to four people. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished in a modern style and offer en suite bathroom, TV and tea & coffee making facilities. Please note: Sweeney's is a non smoking hotel.
