Built in 1847 the oldest houses in Windermere,The Cottage has recently been awarded the AA Highly Commended certificate, which recognises "exceptional quality"and puts it in the very best ten per cent of 4 Star establishments in the UK". In addition, The Cottage has been given the prestigious "Excellence in Breakfast" Award from the AA. the Cottage guest house is a careful blend of the modern with the traditional. We have retained many of the original features built into the guest house, whilst still providing our guests with modern day comforts. It benefits from a superb position being only a two minute walk from the mainline train and bus stations and with many pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. Our aim is to offer high quality accommodation and breakfast. All the rooms have recently been refurbished and have either feature or Four Poster bed. Choose from our extensive award winning breakfast menu of 12 individual dishes. All cooked fresh to order from the highest quality local produce (vegetarians well catered for) and served in our spacious dining room. The world famous Lake Windermere and the shores of Bowness bay are only a leisurely twenty minute stroll. Our off street car park offers ample parking for all our guests

Rockside is a quality 4* Guest House, located less than 2 minutes walk from the rail and bus station, which is owner managed by Martin & Caroline Rockside was built in 1847 using traditional lakeland stone,it is a querky property which is full of character and charm. The en suite rooms are modern and have been individually styled to provide all your modern day comforts, along with retaining many of Rockside original Victorian features. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and at Rockside we give it the justice it deserves, we have a range of options to cater for all tastes, from a more substantial full breakfast to lighter bites and Vegetarian alternatives. All made with quality produce and served with our delicious homemade jams and award winning marmalade. Home baking is an important part of Rockside with regular homebaked biscuits to welcome you. Along with homemade yoghurt, fruit compote and a speciality bread awaiting you each day on the breakfast buffet we certainly like to offer something a little bit different. Kenilworth is a grand 4 star Victorian Guest House built in 1896 and is centrally located in the town of Windermere, a short walk to the local shops, cafes and restaurants.

Many period features have been retained, but under our ownership all of the rooms have been refurbished and redecorated to offer very warm and welcoming bed and breakfast accommodation.

Our hearty breakfasts are cooked to order and include locally made Cumberland sausage and free-range eggs delivered from the local farm. We do of course serve lighter or vegetarian alternatives, and all meat and non-meat items are cooked and served separately. There is a selection of cereals to choose from as well as grapefruit, fruit juice and fresh toast, with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee or herbal infusions.

We have some private off-road parking and there is ample free parking on Holly Road.

For everyone's safety and comfort we are a completely non-smoking guest house.

Located in the pretty village of Troutbeck and enjoying magnificent views High Fold Guest House is less than 3 miles from Windermere and the lakeshore. All our rooms are en-suite and have good views of the local fells. Guests not wishing to drive to enjoy evening and lunchtime meals will find good food, fine wines and ales at two excellent Inn/restaurants, both within walking distance of High Fold Guest House. High Fold Guest House is a VisitBritain four star guest house. We regret we cannot offer accommodation to children under 10. Please note: High Fold Guest House is completley no smoking and guests' pets are not allowed in the Guest House.
