The hotel is undergoing an intense refurbishment at present and will be taking bookings again from 23 May 2008. Built in 1856, Rothay Garden is located in beautiful Grasmere, and offers a peaceful Lakeland retreat. It is set in the heart of the Lake District with tranquil setting and easy access from all directions. Rothay Garden is overlooked by majestic fells in the Vale of Grasmere, and is the perfect choice for enjoying a holiday in the English Lake District. Windermere is only 10 minutes away and the drive from the M6 takes approximately 40 minutes.

Located in private, landscaped grounds in the south Lake District, the Hotel offers beautifully-refurbished accommodation with woodland or panoramic Bay views. We are close to most major Lake District attractions and easily accessible by rail or road. Guests are invited to experience the very best of freshly-prepared local and international fare available every evening from the sumptuous 5-course table d`hote menu served in our well-appointed `Carriages` restaurant. Light meals and snacks are also available, served in the comfort of the Lounge. Our Leisure Suite has a heated indoor swimming pool, spa pool, sauna, steam room, gymnasium, solarium and Beauty Salon.
